Are You Caring For an Aging Parent?
This Blog is devoted to those caring for an aging parent. Caring for a parent brings many highs and lows. Unlike caring for a child - the person you are caring for is unlikely to ever become less dependent - instead their dependence upon you only increases.
Many people have described ‘parenting a parent’ as one of the most satisfying in their whole life (honestly). Then there is a huge number of people who describe the challenge as the most frustrating experience of their entire lives. In many cases it was the same people who reported both experiences. I and my spouse cared for our parents until their death. We have had many of the highs and lows of the experience and would like to extend a helping hand to those going through that process now.
In this Blog we intend to assemble a community of care-givers, service providers and those with specific expertise in this very unique phase of life.
